When you force all that air in there, ya have to force fuel in with it! Who knew?!

My '09 GT500, got 9 mpg city in that configuration. Yeah, I know, she looks stock huh? A lot of cars around my area made that same mistake. hehehe Anyway, she's currently undergoing rebuild as a Texas Mile Track Monkey. Replaced by '12 997 as DD.

Do you still own it?

Indeed. I have no intention of ever getting rid of that car. Now, I may total it at some insane speed in Beeville, TX but never let it go. I actually own two GT500's. The red '09 and a '14 which will remain stock. Ok, mostly, a few bolt-on's. I love those cars like a couple of crazed, crack smoking monkeys. But, we're a car family. My son drives an RX8 R3 and my wife an Infiniti. Cars are pretty much what we "do".

Another person on oppo that doesn't drive a miata? awesome!

I only get around 12-14 mixed right now in my marauder which has a M112 off a terminator, so I guess I should be happy I'm not getting 9. My record low so far with the blower is 11.27mpg! woo hoo!

In defense of my "Oppo Auto Card" my wife and I *did* OWN an na Miata, but it's long since gone. It was Red with a Black Top... but then, weren't they all? lol

Down in South Texas where we reside, it seemed like SUCH a good idea. A Miata! A Convertible! Then, we bought one. There are approximately 3 days a year in South Texas when you can put the top down and enjoy the cool, crisp air. The rest of the time it's SO DAMN HOT that even with the top up, the unlined black cloth top just radiated heat down on us to a degree where you were, quite literall,y only cool at the exact spots the a/c blew over your skin. Too hot, too much, too often.

Now, I know that sounds whiney from a self-professed "car couple", but this little lady, my wife, drove a '93 RX7 R1 twin-turbo RX7 throughout the entirety of her pregnancy with our son after trading the Miata for the 7. So, if you could've seen her struggle to extract herself at 9 months pregnant from down in that RX7... well, whiney she was not.

Anyway, as for your Marauder...awesomeness! I love those cars. Especially modded. The 09 GT500 got around 13 or 14 mpg city, stock. With each mod it went down from there. Of course, part of that may be the fact that I drive with all the restraint of a 15 year old boy and a learner's permit. I blame the rest on the fact that my tuner has always kept the car on a fairly safe tune (because I drive like a moron?), which by safe, I mean, a bit rich because of the variable quality of gas you get at a typical pump. Up until recently that car was my every day driver. Come thick or thin, rain or shine. I put 28,000-ish miles on her doing everything you'd do in your average Camry.

So, it probably could've gotten better mileage with a leaner tune. I could've also probably hammered the top of a piston or two with a leaner tune. hehehe 9mpg was fine with me.

your wife driving a RX-7 is awesomesauce

Always better to have a safe tune, I have a 12.0 A/F with 13 degrees of timing, dialed back from an initial 16. I am also not blessed with the forged internals like you have!

My DD. 2012 997. Bought her with only 6k miles on the clock. Great deal.

It's a RWD or an AWD one?
